Overview

Are you a precision welder with a passion for safety-critical components and continuous improvement? We are seeking an experienced Production Welder to join our team in Llanwern. As a key player in our collaborative environment, you will contribute to our business success through your expertise and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate processing machinery and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Recognize relevant product ranges for accurate material selection and processing
  • Utilize continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimize machine availability
  • Handle all materials, including checking stock records, labeling, and storing according to commercial requirements
  • Fabricate safety-critical components to comply with supplied fabrication drawings
  • Organize stocks and maintain records to ensure optimal productivity and safety
  • Share knowledge of processes and activities with others and ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, drive, and commitment. You should be able to work safely under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Additionally, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in fabrication/welding
  • The ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
  • Qualifications in MAG 135 fillet and butt weld, following ISO 9606-1 standards
  • Experience operating mobile plant equipment onsite

Day-to-day

As a Production Welder, you will be responsible for operating machinery, fabricating components, and ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials. You will also collaborate with team members to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement in production processes.
